More Information

The test can be performed as advised by the Oncologist, without the cost and risks involved with radiation from scans, hospitalisation, anaesthesia or painful surgical biopsies.

Benefits:

  • Get peace of mind & monitor your solid cancer diagnosis
  • Make informed treatment decisions for patients who have progressed on therapy
  • No waiting lists
  • Consultation with Oncologist to advise on the test (not to take on your primary oncologist care).

Who can take the Guardant360 Liquid blood test?

Individuals who have been diagnosed with advanced solid cancer (stage III/IV) whereby the cancer is not progressing on the current treatment or current tumour testing is incomplete or inconclusive.

Patient must have been off treatment for a minimum of 10 days.

Not suitable for individuals with:

  • Hematologic malignancies (Blood / lymph nodes / bone)
  • Early stage (stage I/II) cancers

How does the process work?

  1. Book and pay for a consultation with our Oncologist to ensure suitability and determine this test is right for you.
  2. If suitable, book your Guardant360 Liquid test – in clinic or at home with a nurse visit.

How does the Guardant360 Liquid test work?

Guardant360 Liquid is a simple blood test which analyses 740+ genes within your existing solid cancer tumour DNA and 19,000+ epigenetic signals, to provide cancer genomic alterations detected in your blood.

Some genomic alterations may mean you are more likely to respond to certain drugs, or, indicate your cancer could be resistant to treatment. An oncologist will interpret results to inform the best treatment for you.

The report will highlight current approved drugs available and drugs currently available on clinical trial.

Traditionally, the only way to analyse genomic changes in your cancer was through tissue biopsies. The Guardant360 Liquid test can provide the same information from a simple blood draw.

How often should I test?

Testing frequency depends on your condition – the Oncologist will advise a test schedule that works best for you.

When will I get my results?

The results are typically returned to you via email within 7 working days of reaching the lab.
