Who can take the Guardant Reveal MRD blood test?

Individuals who have a current or previous diagnosis of early stage:

  • Colorectal Cancer (CRC)
  • Breast Cancer
  • Lung Cancer

You must be at least 6 weeks post surgery.

You may have recently had surgery, or in remission for the above cancers seeking recurrence monitoring. (*Recurrence Monitoring only for individuals in remission.).

How does the process work?

  1. Book and pay for a consultation with our Oncologist to ensure suitability and determine which test you should take.
  2. If suitable, book your Guardant Reveal test – in clinic or at home with a nurse visit.
  3. Attend your appointment.
  4. Receive your results within 2-3 weeks.

How does the Guardant Reveal test work?

A simple blood test to determine if there is minimal residual disease (MRD) – a small amount of cancer cells remaining in your body after treatment.

A positive test means there is a presence of MRD, which indicates a higher risk of cancer recurrence. This information can help to make better informed treatment decisions.

A negative test means there is no residual cancer detected. (A negative test does not completely rule out the presence of cancer, so it’s important to keep up routine checks).

How often should I test?

Testing frequency depends on your condition – the Oncologist will advise a test schedule that works best for you. The two testing options available are:

  1. Post-surgery: Up to 3 blood draws starting 6 weeks after surgery.
  2. Follow-up monitoring: Up to 4 blood draws a year* as time progresses, to monitor signs of cancer returning.

*Frequency will depend on your oncologist advice.

When will I get my results?

The results are typically returned to you via email within 2 weeks of reaching the lab.
