Semen samples are sensitive to temperature and time. These are the four points where things most commonly go wrong — get them right and your sample will be fine.
Don't freeze the cool pack. Leave it in the base of the kit at room temperature. Freezing it can shock the sperm cells and cause the sample to fail.
Do freeze the preservative. Straight into the freezer, then out at least an hour before you collect so it isn't frozen when you use it.
Mon, Tue or Wed only. Post it the same day you collect, before the last collection. Samples can't be analysed at weekends.
Everything goes back in. The original packaging is what keeps the sample at the right temperature on the return journey.
If a sample can't be analysed for reasons outside your control — a postal delay, for example — a replacement kit is sent free of charge.
Every sample is filmed and photographed during analysis. You get footage of your own, shown to you during your consultation and sent afterwards — so the results aren't an abstraction, they're something you can actually see.

Results provide information about sperm health. They are not a diagnosis and cannot predict whether conception will occur. Always speak to a doctor about your results before making decisions about treatment.
