Dr Cheng Boon

Dr Cheng Boon is a Consultant Clinical Oncologist at Raigmore Hospital, NHS Highland, and has been on the GMC Specialist Register for clinical oncology since 2015. He qualified in medicine at the University of Manchester in 2006, became a Member of the Royal College of Physicians in 2010, and a Fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists in 2015 after training on the West Midlands clinical oncology programme.

He treats uro-oncology cancers (prostate and bladder) and upper gastrointestinal cancers (oesophagus and stomach) with radiotherapy, chemotherapy, immunotherapy and targeted therapies. He has previously held NHS consultant posts at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals, The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre and The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust, and has trained in proton beam therapy at the University of Pennsylvania.

He is UK Medical Director of OncoDNA, a cancer genomics company, and a Clinical Radiation Expert for the Health Research Authority. He has published on radiotherapy, cancer genomics and artificial intelligence in oncology. At Goodbody Clinic he advises on our cancer screening and cancer risk tests.
