Questions before you book
How do I book?
Choose a test using the finder or the categories above. On the test page, pick how you’d like to give your sample (at a clinic, with a home kit, or with a nurse visit, where available), choose your clinic and preferred date if you’re going in person, and pay securely online. You don’t need a GP referral.
Finger-prick home kit or clinic: which should I choose?
With a home kit, we post you everything you need to take a small finger-prick sample and send it back by post. At a clinic, a trained professional takes a sample from your arm at one of our 250+ partner clinics. Where a test offers a home kit, it measures the same markers as the clinic test. Some tests need a clinic or nurse visit; the options are shown on each test page.
How quickly will I get my results?
Most blood test results are ready within 3–5 working days of your sample reaching the laboratory, and larger health checks within 5–7 working days. MRI reports are usually ready within 3 working days of your scan. Results go to your secure online account, and results that are out of range come with doctor’s comments.
Will my employer see my results?
No. Your results go to you only. Your employer never sees which tests you book or what they show, and Thrive doesn’t receive any health information.
What if I need to cancel or change my booking?
Contact our customer care team as early as you can and we’ll help you rearrange or cancel. What can be refunded depends on the type of appointment and how much notice you give. The full details are in our terms and conditions.
How do I use my Thrive discount?
There’s nothing to do. Arriving from Thrive adds code THRIVE to your basket automatically. If it doesn’t show at checkout, type it in. The code gives you your Thrive discount. It applies to one-time purchases (not subscriptions) and can’t be combined with other offers.
Is Goodbody Clinic regulated?
Yes. Goodbody Clinic is registered with the Care Quality Commission, and every blood sample is analysed by a UKAS-accredited laboratory.
