More Information

Our Polycystic Ovary Syndrome blood test checks your hormone levels to identify whether you are suffering from Polycystic Ovary Syndrome, sometimes know as PCOS. Polycystic Ovary Syndrome is a condition that affects the ovaries and leads to cysts developing on them which can affect your fertility levels, periods, weight gain and skin condition.

Symptoms typically include irregular or absent periods, facial hair growth, unexplained weight gain, poor skin condition and acne, and difficulty getting pregnant.
PCOS is a common condition in females in the UK affecting roughly 7% of women.

Our advanced PCOS blood test will check your levels of hormones including Testosterone, Luteinising Hormone and Follicular Stimulating Hormone to check for hormonal imbalances than can indicate Polycystic Ovary Syndrome.

It will also check your cholesterol levels and your thyroid hormones for a well-rounded check on your health, as PCOS can affect your risk of high cholesterol and thyroid dysfunction.
